SPOTLIGHT

Tracy Chou stands out not only as an entrepreneur and accomplished software engineer but also as a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion. Formerly a tech lead at Pinterest and an early engineer at Quora, Tracy now leads Block Party, her own venture designed to make online spaces safer. Her impressive tenure includes contributing as a technical consultant to the U.S. Digital Service during the Obama administration.

Tracy's passion goes beyond engineering; she is a trailblazer in advocating for equity in the tech industry. In 2013, she initiated a crucial discussion on gender diversity by creating a GitHub repository, encouraging transparency among tech companies regarding their diversity statistics. As a founding member of Project Include, Tracy continues to influence and shape the field of diversity in technology.

With her new product, Privacy Party, Tracy provides a strong defense against the dangers of the digital world, with the promise: "We worry about privacy so you don't have to." Privacy Party helps individuals in reducing the risk of online vulnerabilities such as phishing, fraud, impersonation, and harassment. These new features are provided through easy-to-use browser add-ons for Chrome and Firefox.
