SPOTLIGHT

Marie Ng is on a mission to empower individuals, especially those facing the challenges of ADHD, to improve their task and time management skills. In 2020, Marie launched Llama Life, a simple and fun tool to help people achieve a sense of calm and focus in their work and daily lives.

Marie was born in Malaysia, raised in Australia, and has also lived and worked in London and New York City. With her background in marketing and psychology, Marie has held positions including Head of Digital Incubation at Bupa Australia & New Zealand and Vice President of Mobile Innovation at Millward Brown.

When COVID-19 hit, Marie wanted to learn a new skill, like many others, and started learning web development through YouTube. Llama Life began as a project to apply what Marie was learning by building something real.

As a solo indie maker, Marie bootstrapped Llama Life and acquired 700 paying customers. With this success, Marie was able to secure $680k in pre-seed funding to support the growth of Llama Life and expand its team. Check out The Weekly Build podcast if you'd like to follow Marie's journey.
