Meet Sasha Costanza-Chock, a researcher, designer, and activist deeply invested in community-driven projects, and making technology more equitable and just for all. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Northeastern University's College of Arts, Media, & Design, and the Head of Research & Sensemaking at OneProject.org, Sasha is a force in the realm of design justice.
Sasha Costanza-Chock, a nonbinary trans femme and design justice advocate, reimagines how design processes can more inclusively serve marginalized communities. Their book, "Design Justice: Community-Led Practices to Build the Worlds We Need" along with their role in the Design Justice Network, champions the integration of community perspectives to combat systemic oppression. By fostering inclusive design practices, Sasha empowers communities to shape tools and systems that reflect diverse experiences and needs.
